Momentus has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems.
The certification independently validates the management system Momentus has put in place to evaluate, manage, and monitor its use of AI. MomentusMAX and AskMo were both included within the scope of the certification.
AI is moving into higher-stakes venue workflows. That makes governance more important. Momentus now has independent validation of how it manages that responsibility.
The ISO 42001 certificate and supporting information are available in the Momentus Trust Center.
What Momentus had to demonstrate
ISO 42001 is the first international management system standard created specifically for AI.
To earn certification, organizations have to demonstrate that they have defined processes for managing AI over time. That includes how risks are evaluated, who is accountable, how systems are monitored, and how those practices are reviewed as the technology changes.
Momentus established a formal AI management system that was independently assessed and certified against ISO/IEC 42001:2023.
“AI is becoming part of more consequential work for our customers, so how we manage it matters just as much as what we build,” said Ken Bell, CISO. “ISO 42001 gives our customers independent validation that we have formal processes in place to evaluate AI risk, assign accountability and monitor these systems as their use grows.”
Why this matters for venues
Momentus customers are already asking harder questions about AI.
In the 2026 Momentus State of AI in Venue & Event Management report, 62% of venue and event professionals cited security and data privacy as a top concern with AI, while 57% cited trust in AI-generated decisions.
Those concerns become more relevant as AI moves closer to the work that runs a venue.
Sales teams need to understand availability, client history, booking details and potential conflicts before moving an opportunity forward. Business analysts use booking and operational data to understand performance. Operations leaders need to account for what each event means for spaces, staffing, resources and schedules.
As AI becomes part of more of that work, customers want clear answers: How is it evaluated before it is introduced? How are risks managed? How is performance monitored? Who is accountable?
ISO 42001 gives Momentus a formal, independently assessed framework for answering those questions.
What this means for MomentusMAX and AskMo
MomentusMAX and AskMo represent two ways AI is becoming part of the work our customers do.
MAX for Sales, the first product in the MomentusMAX line, helps sales teams pull together availability, client history, booking details, conflicts and other context needed to move an event from inquiry to booked business.
AskMo gives users a simpler way to work with venue data, letting them ask questions in plain language and get back answers, summaries and interactive charts without hunting through reports or exporting data.
Both bring AI closer to the information venue teams use to make day-to-day decisions. As we expand AI across these workflows, the way we evaluate, monitor and manage it needs to keep pace.
A growing standard for AI management
ISO 42001 is increasingly being adopted across the technology industry as AI becomes part of more important business processes.
Momentus is applying that same international standard to technology built for venues and event organizations.
As AI takes on a larger role in venue operations, we expect customers to ask harder questions about how it is evaluated, managed and monitored.
We think they should.
